To be honest Ubuntu is new for me, and just getting connected online can be a pain in the arse for me.
But I have that golden determination. |

| | olegnep | May 7, 9:01am | same here , i have never been able to get my wifi working with my netgear router. But my wifi at school works for some reason. google is your friend with ubuntu issues but my thinkpad r60 just never played nice with wifi...
i also upgraded , firefox 3 beta 5 seems to be a bit laggy sometimes , it will just eat my entire processor for up to half a minute at a time. |

In windows there are at least 12 that I can choose from.
In Ubuntu when I go to system/admin/hardware testing I can see that my wireless adapter is recognized.
It sucks being a newb. |

and I get the "Network is unreachable"
Oh well, maybe I should make sure I have jived the proper network settings to what they should be and then try that again. |

sudo ifconfig
and see if it's listed. |
