| | italian-scallion | Apr 20, 9:14am | I went ahead and reinstalled Ubuntu, keeping my old installation on its own partition so I can boot into it if I want to use the old video card.
This new installation is missing the "Theme Manager" under "Preferences" for some reason, and I've no idea how to find it or install it. Other than that, things are running much smoother and now I've got all the fancy 3D effects. |

| olegnep | Apr 26, 9:11am | Its inside preferences > appearance now , they moved it (that is also the place you can enable/disable compiz)
for more advanced (read:shiny/transparent) themes you can find the emerald theme manager in synaptic , however emerald themes will only work when compiz is active |
